Welcome — we’re really glad you’re here.

Life is complicated. Relationships are messy. Identities shift. And healing? It’s rarely a straight line. At Inward Motion Counseling Group, we get that. We work from the belief that you don’t exist in isolation. Your story is shaped by your family, your culture, your communities, and the systems around you.

Whether you're here because something isn’t working anymore or because you’re ready to explore what could feel better, we’re here to walk with you — not as experts on your life, but as collaborative guides. This is a space to slow down, reconnect, and move inward so you can move forward with more clarity and ease.

Healing begins inward. We’re here to walk with you.

At Inward Motion Counseling Group, we offer therapy that honors the full complexity of who you are — your identities, your relationships, your lived experiences, and your hopes for the future.

We offer therapy that is collaborative, non-pathologizing, and deeply curious — grounded in a systemic understanding of how identity, culture, and lived experience shape us.

We envision a world where mental health care is not only accessible, but expansive — rooted in equity, care, and connection. At Inward Motion Counseling Group, we’re committed to holding that vision in how we practice, support one another, and serve our communities.

Our mission is to provide inclusive, trauma-informed, and liberatory mental health care that honors both the individual and the collective.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Therapy with Inward Motion Counseling Group is holistic, relational, and grounded in embodiment. Our therapists blend somatic therapy, mindfulness, and creative approaches to help you reconnect with your body, emotions, and inner wisdom. Each session offers space to slow down, feel supported, and create meaningful change from the inside out.

  • Most sessions are available virtually at this time, providing secure and convenient access to therapy from anywhere in Oregon or Hawaii.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is available in person for select dates. To learn more about upcoming availability, please fill out the contact form or schedule a consult with one of our therapists.

  • We offer individual therapy and couples counseling, along with specialized services such as:

    • Somatic Therapy for nervous system regulation and embodied healing

    • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for depression, anxiety, and trauma

    • Creative and Embodied Therapy using mindfulness, art, and movement

    • Trauma Therapy and EMDR-informed care

    • Relationship and Attachment-Based Therapy

    • Stress, Anxiety, and Depression Counseling

Each therapist brings a unique background and perspective, allowing us to match you with someone who best fits your goals and needs.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) combines the use of low-dose ketamine with psychotherapy to support emotional healing, neuroplasticity, and reconnection with self. Our KAP sessions are guided by trained clinicians who integrate somatic awareness, mindfulness, and gentle integration therapy to help you safely process insights and create lasting change.

  • While talk therapy is an important foundation, we believe healing extends beyond words. Our therapists incorporate embodied and creative techniques—including breathwork, mindfulness, movement, and art—to help release what’s stored in the body and create space for transformation. This approach helps clients access deeper insight, self-compassion, and regulation.

  • We’re an insurance-friendly practice. While we are not in network with any insurance companies, we’ve partnered with Mentaya to help you use your out-of-network benefits for potential reimbursement on therapy. We handle the process for you, including checking your benefits, submitting claims, and making sure you get reimbursed. Out-of-network benefits allow you to choose a therapist based on your needs, not just your insurance provider list. Typically, you pay upfront and may be reimbursed by your insurance after meeting a deductible. This flexibility helps you prioritize quality care and the right therapeutic fit. You already have plenty on your plate, and we want to make using your out-of-network benefits as easy as possible.

  • Session fees range from $175–$275, depending on the therapist, service type, and session length. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and extended sessions may have separate pricing. Sliding scale options are occasionally available—please inquire during your consultation if cost is a barrier.

  • Your first session is a gentle introduction to the process. You’ll share what’s been happening in your life, what feels challenging, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There’s no pressure to say the “right” thing—your therapist will help guide the conversation and create a space that feels supportive, safe, and collaborative.

  • The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and preferences. Some clients work with us short-term to address specific challenges, while others continue longer-term for deeper exploration and growth. Your therapist will check in regularly to ensure the process remains aligned with your needs and intentions.

  • Our therapists work with adults and couples. We specialize in supporting individuals navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma recovery, anxiety, and depression, using a body-based, integrative approach that honors both mind and spirit.

  • Yes. Our therapists provide couples counseling for partners navigating communication struggles, trust repair, or blended family dynamics. We use emotionally focused and somatic approaches to help you reconnect, communicate effectively, and build more authentic and supportive relationships.

  • Embodied therapy invites awareness of your body’s sensations, emotions, and patterns as part of the healing process. Creative therapy incorporates art, journaling, or mindfulness-based expression to access deeper insight and emotional release. These practices help you move beyond talk alone and create new ways of relating to yourself and your experiences.

  • Getting started is simple. You can either fill out our contact form or schedule a consult call with one of our therapists. During the consult, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions about therapy or KAP, and help you find the right therapist for your needs.
