MAUI BASED INTERN
Tatum Hoshino is a Principal Researcher and Author from Maui, Hawaiʻi, with a focus on the intersection of cultural identity, systemic discrimination, and mental health. Her work explores the lasting impact of colonization on Native Hawaiian identity and the importance of culturally informed psychological care. She brings experience in behavioral healthcare, DBT interventions, and research collaboration with Stanford University’s Project M Bridge.

Charla is a graduate student in Walden University's CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, pursuing a career at the intersection of relational care, sexual wellness, and social justice. Their clinical interests are shaped by years of personal and intellectual engagement with queer communities, trauma, identity, and the ways systemic harm shows up in the body and in relationship. Their approach centers cultural humility, systemic accountability, and an ongoing commitment to challenging the dominant narratives that too often harm the people therapy is meant to serve.
