Terms and Conditions

Inward Motion Counseling Group

Effective date: October 16, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of www.inwardmotioncounseling.com (the "Website") and the text messaging program operated by Inward Motion Counseling Group ("Inward Motion," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By browsing the Website, submitting a form, booking a consultation, or opting in to text messages, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

2. Who We Serve

Inward Motion is a group therapy practice providing mental health services to adults and couples in Oregon and Hawai‘i, primarily through secure virtual sessions. Clinical services are available only to people 18 or older who are located in a state where their clinician is licensed at the time of each session. Anyone may browse the Website.

3. Website Content Is Not Therapy or Medical Advice

Blog posts, service descriptions, FAQs, newsletters, and social media content are for general educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or advice.

Browsing the Website, contacting us, or exchanging messages with us does not create a therapist-client relationship. That relationship begins only after you complete intake paperwork, including our informed consent, and we agree to provide services.

4. Not for Emergencies

The Website, contact forms, email, and text messages are not monitored around the clock and must not be used in a crisis. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.

5. Acceptable and Prohibited Use

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Website in any way that violates federal, state, or local law

  • Submit false information, or another person's information without their permission, through our forms

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers, or any connected system

  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code

  • Scrape or collect information from the Website by automated means without our written permission

  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate our clinicians, staff, or other users

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Website

We may restrict or end access for anyone who violates these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All Website content, including text, graphics, logos, images, blog posts, and the Inward Motion Counseling Group name and marks, is owned by or licensed to Inward Motion. It is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws.

You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.

7. Appointments, Fees, Payments, and Cancellations

Session fees currently range from $175 to $275, depending on the clinician, service type, and session length. Therapy intensives, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), retreats, and events may be priced separately. Your fee is confirmed before services begin.

  • Payment. Payment is due at the time of service unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payments are processed through our scheduling and client portal platform.

  • Insurance. We are an out-of-network practice. We offer superbills and reimbursement support through Mentaya and Thrizer, but we cannot guarantee your insurer will reimburse any amount. You are responsible for your fees whether or not you are reimbursed.

  • Financing. Financing through CareCredit is offered by a third party and governed by CareCredit's own terms.

  • Cancellations. Our cancellation and late-cancellation policy, including the notice required to avoid a fee, is provided in your informed consent and financial policy at intake. Those documents control over this summary.

  • Refunds. Fees for services already provided are non-refundable. Refunds for events, workshops, retreats, or other purchases made through the Website follow the refund terms shown at the time of purchase.

  • Good Faith Estimate. Under the federal No Surprises Act, if you are uninsured or not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. Ask us for one before scheduling.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The Website links to or uses third-party services, including Jane App (scheduling and client portal), Flodesk (newsletter), Mentaya and Thrizer (insurance reimbursement), CareCredit (financing), Facebook, Instagram, and external retreat pages. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that its content is complete or current.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inward Motion and its owners, clinicians, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website. This includes damages caused by errors, omissions, interruptions, delays, viruses, or third-party content or services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Website will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and it does not govern clinical services, which are covered by your client agreement.
